Today I had my first class in After Effects. What a great program. I'm so excited about the possibilities! My teacher is very good. Thurday I start a drawing for animation class. Yay! I think I've been needing some structured learning. It feels good to be learning rather than forgetting.

In four easy steps: Ctrl/Command A Ctrl/Command C Ctrl/Command N Ctrl/Command V Viola! You have an exact replica. As my friend Doug says, realism isn't a style.

Some artist friends and I went to the exhibit this weekend. Just beautiful. It's very humbling to see the craft of a master illustrator in person. I love being able to see the paintings up close to examine the technique. They had a great range of works from his career which allowed you to see the progression of his style over the years. The big change being due to the advances in print technology which allowed Lyendecker to expand his color palette. The works of his artistic peak really blossom with color. The under painting is warmer in his full color works. The early ones have a cold gray base. I highly recommend the exhibit to any artists
